The role:
The role will focus on providing business advice related to the negotiation and drafting of technology transfer agreements and other sector-specific contracts, both nationally and internationally. The position also involves managing intellectual property, as well as protecting patents and data. The ideal candidate should have experience in top-tier law firms or technology companies, with strong expertise in technology law, intellectual property, and the protection of innovations in semiconductors, software, and technology contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Contracting: Advising the business on the drafting and negotiation of technology transfer agreements, technology development, licensing, distribution, as well as collaboration agreements, service provision, Statements of Work (SoW), and other technology sector contracts.
- Intellectual Property and Patents: Providing strategic advice on the protection of technological innovations, with a special focus on chips, semiconductors, software, code, and algorithms.
- Patent, IP, Trade Secrets, and Confidentiality Management: Collaborating with R&D teams and patent advisors to define innovation protection strategies and providing business advice to ensure the protection of the company’s IP, innovation, information confidentiality, and trade secrets.
- Advising on Chip and Semiconductor Protection Regulations:
Including international regulations. - Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with intellectual property laws, data protection regulations in technological environments, and AI regulations.
- Legal and Regulatory Surveillance: Monitoring regulatory changes in the technology sector and their impact on the company, and implementing policies to ensure compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Law degree, Master’s in Intellectual Property, Technology Law, or specialization in IP/Patents and data protection is a plus.
- 5-7 years in top-tier law firms, boutique firms specializing in IP and technology contracts, or legal departments of technology companies.
- Specialist in Intellectual Property, software, technology transfer, and semiconductor/chip regulation and data protection.
- Fluent in English (required), knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
