SoC Architecture Staff Engineer

The SoC Architecture team is responsible to define the top-level architecture and key features of the SoCs. The team delivers the HAS (High-level Architecture Specifications), SoC requirements, defines and maintains Configuration Management processes. The team is also responsible for the overall top-level aspects on security and device packaging.


Job responsibilities:

As SoC Architecture Staff Engineer, the candidate should have strong knowledge of SoC architectures, synthesis tools, VLSI design, and successful industry experience with deployment of IPs in large SoC projects while working in a collaborative environment.

In this team your responsibility will include, but not limited, to:

  • Work hand in hand with the product architect making sure implementation meets the product goals.
  • Work with peer micro architect across the organization aligning product definition.
  • Support SoC execution across chip milestones working with all cross-functional teams to help define and drive complex dependencies.
  • Define and develop system-level methodologies, tools, and IPs to build SOCs in an efficient and scalable manner.
  • Collaborate with IP development teams, and participate in, and support soft and hard IP identification, selection and IP licensing.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of solid experience in IP/SoC design.
  • Strong knowledge and industry expertise in multiple aspects of SoC architecture definition such as Clocks, Resets, Power-Sequencing, Power Management, Interrupts, Interconnects, Boot, Virtualization, Security, System Performance, IO technologies, Platform integration.
  • Experience with architecture trade-offs and design methodologies for optimal performance power area cost (PPAC) in advanced technologies.
  • Experience with RISC-V based Systems.
  • General knowledge with industry standard integration tools.
  • General knowledge of SOC implementation standards and interfaces.
  • General knowledge of Advanced packaging (2.5D, 3D, SiP, CoWoS) and chiplets.
