The Role:

You’ll work in a high-security environment with globally distributed remote users and a high ratio of contractors. As a Network Security Administrator, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our network infrastructure. You will be responsible for administering our Network Environment, Network Security Tools, Remote Access SSE, and ensuring high availability and security for a globally distributed user base. This role is perfect for a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a strong technical background in network administration and security. Key responsibilities:

•Reporting to the IT Cybersecurity lead and coordinating with the IT Infrastructure lead, you will be responsible for the secure operation of the LAN globally.

•Administer and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, including policy, updates, threat monitoring, and performance tuning.

•Manage Prisma SASE to ensure secure and efficient connectivity for remote users worldwide.

•Monitor and troubleshoot network performance to ensure high availability and reliability.

•Participation in performance or safety improvement initiatives

•Along with the Cybersecurity team, design and implement network changes, upgrades, and optimizations to meet business needs.

•Support IT Service Desk and your sysadmin colleagues in the resolution of complex IT problems, escalating to vendors and external suppliers when needed.

•Align with the Cybersecurity Lead to ensure network compliance with Openchip’s IT security policies and industry standards.

•Maintain and update network documentation, including diagrams, policies, and procedures.

•Provide technical support for network-related issues, escalating as needed.

•Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning for network systems.

•Stay current with emerging network technologies and best practices.




Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in Telematics, Information Technology, or a related field.

•4+ years of experience in network administration, preferably in high-security environments.

•Knowledge of best practices for firewall configurations, security policies, and incident response.

•Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks Strata and Prisma.

•Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., NAGIOS, Zabbix, PRTG).

•Basic knowledge of how protocols and applications work for configuring appropriate policies.

•Highly desirable experience with (SWG Proxy Tools, IPS/IDP, ZTNA Environment, VPN, IPAM, DHCP, Micro segmentation, WAF).

•Familiarity with securing and managing globally distributed networks.

•Certifications such as PCNSA, PCNSE, CCNA or equivalent is highly desirable.

•Understanding of high-security environments and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).

•Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
