The Role:

As a CPU Architecture Junior Engineer, you will work with a team of engineers to define the specification for a range of cutting-edge superscalar CPU cores used in next-generation System-on-Chip (SoC) designs.

You will learn about the working of Out-Of-Order CPUs, how coherency works in multi-core systems and how power and performance are estimated.

Successful candidates will work with fellow team members and those of other teams on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Authoring specifications for the CPU core. Conducting specification reviews as necessary.
  • Using simulators and other tools to model key workloads in terms of power & performance.
  • Close collaboration with design teams on implementation & verification. This may also include power analysis and process related decision making.


Required qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of various scalar and vectorial operation.
  • Basic knowledge of multi-core architecture design challenges.
  • Basic knowledge of RISC architecture.
  • Basic knowledge of CPU micro-architecture.
