The Role:
You will be the first and only IT team member based in Ireland, acting as the local point of contact for all IT-related matters in the office. You will collaborate closely with the broader IT team to ensure seamless operations, while independently managing onsite support, infrastructure maintenance, and user assistance. You’ll report to our User Support lead. If you're a proactive, hands-on individual ready to take on diverse technical challenges in a dynamic environment, we want you on our team! You’ll work in a high-security environment with globally distributed remote users and a high ratio of contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
•Address issues: Provide first-line support by informing, prioritizing, and resolving user requests and incidents to ensure smooth IT operations.
•Coordinate support efforts: Work closely with the service desk team, located in Barcelona.
•Microsoft 365 administration: Deliver first-level support for Microsoft 365 applications and Windows environments.
•Hardware inventory management: Maintain and update the IT hardware inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
•End-user equipment provisioning: Manage end-user device procurement, setup, and distribution, using Copilot deployment.
•Onboarding process: Oversee new user onboarding, including imaging devices, enrolling them in management tools, delivering equipment, and providing training.
•Mobile device management: Handle mobile telephony setup and distribution, as well as first-level support for incidents.
•User account provisioning: Set up and manage user accounts in line with company policies.
•Jira Service Management: Utilize Jira Service Management as an agent to manage service tickets efficiently.
•Documentation Management: Maintain and update documentation in Confluence to ensure information is accurate and accessible.
•Support to IT Operations and Communications/Network team: Provide hands-on support and maintenance for the office’s technical room (rack), including network cabling, patching, and infrastructure troubleshooting. Ensure proper functioning of all local IT systems and support the operations team with on site requirements. This person is responsible for keeping all IT infrastructure in the office in optimal condition.
•Workstation and IT equipment maintenance (Ireland office): Be in charge of assembling, configuring, and maintaining all workstations and IT devices in the Ireland office, including audio visual and videoconferencing equipment, meeting room setups, and collaborative tech.
Qualifications:
•2+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
•Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including administration and support.
•Familiarity with Jira Service Management and Confluence is highly desirable.
•Hands-on experience managing hardware, office equipment, and mobile device provisioning.
•Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a high level of autonomy.
