The Role:

You’ll work in a high-security environment with globally distributed remote users and a high ratio of contractors. As a Network Administrator, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our network infrastructure. You will be responsible for administering our Palo Alto firewalls, managing our Prisma SASE environment, and ensuring high availability and security for a globally distributed user base. This role is perfect for a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a strong technical background in network administration and security. Key responsibilities:

· Reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure, you will be responsible for the secure operation of the LAN globally.

· Administer and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, including policy updates, threat monitoring, and performance tuning.

· Manage Prisma SASE to ensure secure and efficient connectivity for remote users worldwide.

· Monitor and troubleshoot network performance to ensure high availability and reliability.

· Along with the Head of IT Infrastructure, design and implement network changes, upgrades, and optimizations to meet business needs.

· Support IT Service Desk and your sysadmin colleagues in the resolution of complex IT problems, escalating to vendors and external suppliers when needed.

· Align with the Cybersecurity Lead to ensure network compliance with Openchip’s IT security policies and industry standards.

· Maintain and update network documentation, including diagrams, policies, and procedures.

· Provide technical support for network-related issues, escalating as needed.

· Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning for network systems.

· Stay current with emerging network technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Telematics, Information Technology, or a related field.

· 4+ years of experience in network administration, preferably in high-security environments.

· Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Prisma SASE.

· Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., NAGIOS, Wireshark, PRTG).

· Pen testing experience is a plus.

· Familiarity with securing and managing globally distributed networks.

· Knowledge of best practices for firewall configurations, security policies, and incident response.

· Certifications such as PCNSA, PCNSE, or equivalent are highly desirable.

· Understanding of high-security environments and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).

· Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
