The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic intern to support our research in RISC-V frameworks and FPGA prototyping. You will work on adapting, testing and validating open-source architectures on our FPGA Platform, contributing to the integration of open hardware into new environments and simulation workflow definition. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in FPGA design and exploration flows, RISC-V architectures and system bring-up.
Expected duration: 3 to 5 months. It is an internship role.
Key Responsibilities:
Research tools to integrate open-source frameworks onto FPGA platforms.
Support the definition of and exploratory space for different hardware configs.
Assist in generating bitstream and performing basic bring-up tests.
Validate, log and document results (successful and unsuccessful) in a structured way to enable downstream tasks
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and validate designs.
Key Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of digital design and (Verilog)
Familiarity with FPGA toolchain including tools to facilitate integration (Firesim), following instructions and tutorials for implementation
Interest in implementing and advancing open-source frameworks.
Knowledge of structured file formats (.json, .yaml…etc) and tools that can be used to log results and configs in a structured way.
Preferred qualifications:
Prior FPGA project or coursework experience.
Participation in or implementation of open source projects.
Soft Skills:
Proactive and solutions-oriented.
Highly organized and process-driven.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and clarity.
Team player who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
