The role:
You will join the Low-Level team, responsible for developing the system and runtime layers for Openchip DPUs. These processors enable the shift of telecommunication network functions towards efficient, disaggregated telco cloud infrastructures. Our hardware acceleration technologies address operators’ needs in areas such as Radio Access Networks (RAN), compute offload, networking, security, storage, and AI.
Key responsibilities:
Driving the development, test, and release of software products in line with product requirements, according to schedule and quality standards.
Contributing to the product definition process and ensuring alignment of software development.
Managing technical interactions with partners, suppliers, or customers.
Providing deep technical expertise, identifying emerging technologies that should be integrated to develop innovative software solutions.
Qualifications:
Proven ability to specify, develop, and test software solutions for products combining software and hardware aspects.
Solid knowledge of mobile technologies and architectures (LTE, 5G, Radio Access Network, Core Network), familiar with 3GPP / ETSI / ORAN specifications, in-depth knowledge of LTE / 5G RAN architectures (L1/L2/L3 Layers, ORAN fronthaul, mMIMO) would be a distinctive plus.
Proficient in C/C++ programming for manycore platforms (CPU, DSP, ASIC, GPU, …) within Linux environments.
Nice to have:
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Ruby) and development tools for continuous integration and version control (e.g., Git).
Experience with virtualization and emulation.
Experience with RISC-V development and open-source projects.
Experience with DPDK (Data Plane Development Kit) for high-performance packet processing.
Soft skills:
Graduate Engineer or PhD in embedded software or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in software development.
Experience in the telecommunications industry would be a plus.
Analytical and problem solving, dedicated, result oriented professional.
Excellent inter-personal skills, written and verbal communication skills.
Fluent in English.
Quick learner, willing to take new challenges, enthusiastic and innovative.
